Last Words
His last words, nothing but pain
Make me weak, & suffer all over again
We laughed, we smiled & we chuckled
Come in my mind, like a thought’s Chain
You promised, you vowed & you assured
But when it came to fulfilling all drained
We met, shared & lived together
It’s on my character, like a stain
I agreed, I compromised & sacrificed,
Kept you happy & never did complain
I asked, I inquired & tried to explore
The reason you did this, but you didn’t explain
I believed, I trusted & I loved
All reminded me, that I was insane
I penned, folded & decided to convey
Those letters were wet, in my eye’s rain
You shouted, became harsh & disappeared
It made me realize, now nothing remains
I’m standing, I’m looking & I’m waiting
You call me & I’ll be yours, all over again
